This is my first New English Translation (NET) Bible. I received this Bible for free for partnering with Bible Gateway #BibleGatewayPartner.
The Timeless Truths Bible offers commentary throughout each chapter and book introductions. I love reading these in different Bibles. The different things each Bible translation adds fascinate me. There are multiple Biographies throughout, such as Francis of Assisi (page 1087) and John Knox (page 1359).
I also enjoyed the Sacred Art reprints throughout. These are full-color pages dedicated to each piece. “The artwork gives a visual representation of the Bible’s timeline; it also displays the palace that beauty and creativity have had throughout the history of the church.” according to Matthew Z. Capps, General Editor in the “How To Use This Bible section.
Since I’m a history lover the collection of covenants, creeds, catechisms, and confessions throughout the church’s history are interesting to read.
The Timeless Truths Bible is hardback with a dust cover. It includes 7 full-color maps including one of Jerusalem in Jesus’ day. I really enjoyed having these visuals to help illustrate the text.
Added Bonus – there are large margins for note-taking! I love writing and highlighting passages and making notes in my Bibles (sorry Mom – I do write in my books). There is plenty of room to write in this Bible.
Overall I think it’s a great resource. I will use it for reference and to add extra bits of history into my writing and studying!
