Forever In His Arms
Twisting stomach and breaking heart
Flashbacks and nightmares rip me apart
Stuck in a state of fight or flight
Conflicting thoughts keep me up all night
Always worrying what other people think
Afraid to disappoint or show that I am weak
Gentle arms pull me up off of my knees
Jesus tells me my worry can cease
He knows all the tears that I have cried
But I am strong with Him by my side
With Him I can get through all thrown my way
Forever in His arms and heart I will stay
He shields me from evil and shines His light
He guides me through the darkest night
