We all search for comfort in our lives. Some of us turn to the Ultimate Comforter and others turn to other things first. God is the Ultimate Comfort in my life. Where do you find the ultimate comfort? Do you find the comfort in a new show to binge or are you looking to the One that created you? Are you eating the whole bag of chips or drinking down the bottle to find comfort?
In my latest article on Candidly Christian, I walk with you through the ultimate comfort giver and how he brings people into our journey to help us along the way. I hope that you will join me there.

Prayer
Lord, life is hard at times. Thank you for never leaving us in the hard alone. Thank you for each person who reads this article. May you bless them today, drawing them closer to you. We thank you for your comfort in our storms and thank you for never leaving us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Thank you for that sweet prayer at the end of your post, Brianna. Praise God for his Word–a sublime source of comfort! One time I received news that a young Christian friend had died. In addition to the grief was frustration. At age eighteen S. was much too young to die; she had a fruitful future ahead of her. I started skimming my Bible for why God would let this happen until I came to Romans 11:33-36, which concludes with the statement: “From him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever!” God whispered in my spirit that his reasons for S.’s death weren’t for me to know, but I could rest assured our loss was for his glory. And in that realization, that God would bring worthwhile purpose out of this tragedy, I finally found comfort.
Nancy thank you for sharing your heart. What a powerful story you have. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. I’m so glad that you found comfort, even though you didn’t have answers to your questions.❤️
