Best Chili in the World!

Fall and winter are my favorite food seasons! I’m a hard-core soup girl. This recipe in particular is a go-to for me. It’s a “dump it in the crockpot” and let it cook all day.

I like to make a double batch (if you have two crock pots or a large roaster) and freeze it. It’s a great meal for a meal train too!

Best Chili Recipe

2lb. Ground Beef

2 – 28 oz diced tomatoes in juice

1 – 16 oz Kidney beans not drained

1 – 15 oz Pinto Bean not drained

1 large onion diced

2-3 stalks of celery (1/4 cup)

1/4 cup Bell Pepper diced

3 tbsp Chili Powder

2 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Black Pepper

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Sugar

2 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions: Add meat (uncooked) and all ingredients into a crock pot.

Stir to mix ingredients

Turn on low for 8 hours or 4 hours on High.

Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream (optional… even though my husband says its mandatory!).

Notes: Here are a few things that I’ve done over the years. Add the sugar otherwise, it doesn’t taste just right. I’ve never subbed different meats but I’m sure they would work too. I like easy meals, and this is one of them. I’ve made corn muffins or served baked potatoes or even tortilla chips with it. This week it was quesadillas and chili.

My favorite things to cook with list!

Large Roaster

Crock-Pot with Locking Lid (I think I’m on crock-pot five!)

Kitchen Scissors (I even cut meat with these!)

Mini Food Processor (I’ve gone through 2 in 16 years!!)

Silicone Tongs

Electric Frying Pan
